Last week saw a new endeavour for Country Attire as we hosted our first exclusive fashion evening for VIP bloggers and industry professionals.
On the evening of Monday 10th February, we took Country Attire to Revolucion de Cuba in the heart of Manchester to celebrate the launch of our SS14 collections and to introduce some of the latest brands to join CA. From resort collections including Juliet Dunn and Melissa Odabash to the highly fashionable Hugo Boss and Isabel De Pedro, our repertoire of brands is increasing by the day.
On arrival, guests were treated to a champagne reception and presented with a must-have goody bag containing CA branded treats and sweets. Of course, this included a cute, home baked cupcake, made by the very talented Jane Hargreaves, mother of CA co-founder, Jenny Parker. We were delighted that our brand representatives from Sebago, Sorel, Hunter, Mr. Hare and the beautiful Strathberry of Scotland were able to attend to showcase their latest collections. Entertainment was provided in the form of games including ‘How fast can you re-lace your Sebago shoes’ – which is a lot more difficult than it sounds! Along with Hunter croquet which involved hitting a ball into one of three Hunter Boots for a chance to win your very own pair.
To fully indulge in an evening of fashion and beauty, Manchester based nail salon ‘Pretty Me Nails’ attended to offer guests a complimentary CA manicure - white nails with our signature black butterfly. Northwest beauty school, Aqua-Rosa were also on hand to offer free mini makeovers and to advise guests on how to create the perfect smoky eye. The talented makeup artists applied their special touch to our models, creating distinctive looks, from exotic gold to English rose which complimented the carefully chosen outfits to perfection, offering the ultimate in style inspiration.
Our beautiful models started off the night with a bang in their stunning swimwear pieces which included one of our favourites – the printed one-piece by boutique brand, Swash. Our male models expertly showcased our new beachwear collection from Sunspel, as well as offering a first glimpse of the Sebeago Apparel range which will be available on site in the coming weeks. Next came casualwear, which included an exclusive glimpse of our own label cashmere, CO/AT with Naomi looking effortlessly stylish in the chunky Vierson Cable Knit Cashmere Sweater and Fuss in the men’s Saunder Crew Neck, teamed with a pair of 7 For All Mankind Jeans to complete the look.
As the evening drew to an end, the models changed into eveningwear looks, one of which included a delicate lace dress from Zimmermann, teamed with a highly fashionable leather jacket from Swedish brand, Jofama. The boys wore the tailored Holland Esquire Piping Jacket and the ultra-cool Belstaff Woodcote Jacket, showing the diversity across our gentlemen’s collections. Throughout the evening, guests had the chance to take centre stage in our photo studio where they could choose from a beautiful selection of accessories from Linda Farrow, Lily and Lionel and Vivienne Westwood to wear while our in house photographer Olivia snapped away to create ever lasting memories of fun and frolics and to celebrate ‘The Essence of British Style.’
