Win with Country Attire and Matchless
Trailblazers of British motorcycling, Matchless began as a bicycle company in Plumstead, London, back in 1878.
By 1901, bolstered by the success of their push bikes, Matchless were manufacturing high quality motorcycles. Recognisable by their famous winged ‘M’ symbol, the brand quickly became synonymous with excellence in motorcycling and a premium riding experience.
Fast forward sixty years (via two world wars, during the second of which, the company manufactured 80,000 of their G3 and G3L models for the armed forces), and Matchless had become the motorcycle of choice for a plethora of Hollywood stars. Now an iconic symbol of youth and independence, the bikes were favoured by the likes of Marlon Brando and James Dean. Their popularity continued to grow during the 1970s and beyond, during which time rockers and bikers would race their Matchless bikes at dizzying speeds around London’s North Circular Road.
Matchless no longer manufacture motorcycles, but the fine reputation they forged during their sixty years doing so is reflected and upheld every day in their outstanding collection of leather jackets.
Perfectly capturing the freedom of spirit associated with riding, and of such high quality you could wear them out on the road, the outerwear range includes leather and wax cotton jackets in a variety of styles so cool, we think Jimmy Dean would own a few!
To celebrate the launch of Matchless at Country Attire, we are giving you the chance to win one of these iconic jackets, and own a piece of British motorcycling history. To enter and be in with a chance of winning, click here.
