Hero Product: Country Attire Teviot Wax Jacket

The Country Attire collection of wax and tweed jackets effortlessly combines excellent functionality with exquisite design, which consistently reflects the brand's proud British heritage. All jackets in the collection are made in Britain; the wax jackets are crafted in a Birmingham factory while tweeds are made in the north west of England; both centres of industry and textile production during the Industrial Revolution.

AT the heart of the collection is the Country Attire butterfly logo, which serves as the blue print for every jacket in the range. The entire collection is inspired by the intricacies of a butterfly's wing which is simultaneously strong and delicate. In particular, the collection reflects the way in which the wing gives a butterfly both beauty and efficiency. For this reason, the butterfly logo features throughout the collection, on hardware and labels in both male and female designs.

The Ladies' Teviot Wax Jacket is one of the newest designs to be added to the collection, and stands out as a hero product amongst the female designs. This stunning wax jacket combines an impressive specification -including a British Millerain waxed cotton outer- with a stylish design that exudes femininity and understated elegance. Read on to discover why the Teviot is a hero product of the Country Attire collection...

002 - Hero Banner v1 (4)

In a luxurious touch, the Teviot jacket has been given a removable faux fur trim to the collar which simultaneously provides additional warmth and creates a stylish overall look. The only design in the Country Attire collection to feature a faux fur trim, the Teviot jacket exudes femininity and sophistication while still retaining its functionality.

The Teviot jacket showcases exquisite attention to detail, with antique brass style hardware throughout. The jacket can be hung up using the metal hanging loop, which features a delicate disc embossed with the Country Attire butterfly logo, set between a sturdy brass chain.

Creating a delightful coordinating look and with reference to the butterfly throughout, the Teviot jacket also features butterfly embossed brass effect buttons on the storm flap, pockets and cuffs.

The Teviot jacket strikes the perfect balance between pretty and practical. Designed to offer outstanding protection from wind and rain, as well as a stylish look, the Teviot features a resilient water-resistant outer crafted in Great Britain by The British Millerain Company. The outer is made from medium Chera waxed cotton; The British Millerain Company's signature wax cotton fabric. Chera waxed cotton has a matte appearance and soft texture, and has been chosen by Country Attire for its natural ability to age beautifully. Ideal for creating jackets which simply get better with age, this medium weight waxed cotton is perfectly suited to outdoor apparel.

Designed especially for ladies, the Teviot jacket is the only jacket in the Country Attire collection to feature a drawstring waist. Concealed within the lining of the jacket, the drawstring allows the waist to be cinched in, creating a flattering and feminine shape that is seldom seen in other wax jackets. On days when freedom of movement is essential, the drawstring can be left loose for a more relaxed fit.

The Teviot jacket features four large patch pockets, each with branded stud button fastening which allows you to take small essentials with you on the go. Inside, the jacket boasts two further pockets; one Velcro fastening and one zip fastening, offering further practical storage in a discreet and stylish way.

Unzipping the Teviot jacket reveals a beautiful lining with a bespoke check exclusive to Country Attire. The lining is made from soft cotton, so it is breathable and comfortable. The fine check is inspired by technical drawings, in a nod to the impressive specification and functionality of the jacket. Between the soft cotton lining and waxed cotton outer sits an innovative membrane created by The British Millerain Company; the "Milair 5000". This lightweight inner lining is designed to be both breathable and waterproof, providing an extra protective layer which stops water from penetrating the jacket while ensuring the jacket is breathable. This hydrophilic layer is a unique feature of every Country Attire jacket.
