Coachella Who? Glastonbury holds the title.

Festival journal banner

As the summer starts to set in and the festival season begins to boom, the UK has become a hub of excitement, celebrating style across the country in anticipation of the most famous of festivals – Glastonbury.

Always prepared to make it bigger and better, this year’s Glastonbury Festival is dated June 24th-28th. Undoubtedly hoping for that wished-for sunshine, past and present festival go’ers could almost guarantee that you’ll be packing your hat, Hunters and raincoat to get you through the weekend.

Coachella kicked off the summer festivals globally, spreading that longed-for Hollywood panache, but we all know Glastonbury holds the title for attracting the coolest celebs from the UK’s A-list and drawing in the newest trendsetters to hit the fashion scene. Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne, joined by Kate Moss, Alexa Chung and Sienna Miller are yearly attendees of the famous festival, accompanying the tassels on their jackets with a pair of wellies and daisy dukes for that classic festival look.

Glastonbury 2015 has a diverse music display for everyone, adapting and changing over the years to appeal to less of an ‘indie’ crowd and instead becoming a stomping ground for fashionistas to showcase their style and create new trends. Of course, we know that the weather can be somewhat impulsive, matching with our summer spending habits ready for the ‘in’ look this season. With our fingers crossed that the sun will shine and the birds will sing, we’ve created the Top 3 Festival Luxe for summer, whether it’s Glastonbury, V-Fest or no festival at all, these looks will be sure to pull out all of this season’s signature pieces wanted by everyone but pulled off by only a few.

For festival go’ers with a loaded weekend, stay stylishly dishevelled starting with Zimmerman’s Ladies’ Bustier Dress in Rococo Floral and Birkenstocks Arizona Sandals in Brown. Polish off the look with Linda Farrow Oversized Mocha Sunglasses.

Bring in some seventies spirit to your outfit by wearing a Denham Nile Dress, perfect for a sunny day. If the weather gets a little cloudy, throw on BOSS Orange Omarli Zip up Sweater in Blue. When it eventually does pour down, don’t be put off by the rain. Instead, slip on a pair of Hunter’s Original Stripe Wellington Boots in Midnight Blue to colour co-ordinate your outfit.

Keep your ensemble classic and feminine with a festival edge. Piece together Aigle’s Firstrain Parka Jacket  in Cachemire to stay dry and whether the weather picks up or not, you’ll be fashion ready in Hoss Intropia’s Dungaree Playsuit styled with a blue print, picture-perfect with the Aigle Parka. Without shying away from the many shoe options available, either slide on your Birkenstock Arizona’s or a pair of glossy Joules Wellies to complete the look.

We all need to ensure we have the added extras when attending a festival. Safeguard yourself  with Hunter’s Fleece Welly socks to stop getting wet feet. Don’t forget Hunter’s holographic phone pouch in Gunmetal to makes sure your phone stays safe and dry.
