Country Attire at Wilderness Festival with Hunter Boots

blog header

The marketing team at Country Attire have had a very busy, but exciting weekend and were delighted to be able to attend Wilderness Festival in collaboration with Hunter Boots for a weekend of eclectic music, gorgeous food and eccentric fashion! Wilderness Festival is an award-winning four day spectacle, set in the lush woodland grounds of Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire that prides itself on offering a luxury festival experience. We were very excited to be staying in the boutique camping area; it was very much a relief  after a four hour traffic-filled drive(!) that we could relax in our very own fully-furnished yurt. After a quick pit stop with a few refreshments, we were ready to head into the Wilderness and see what the festival had in store for us...

Wilderness is a new breed of festival that sets itself away from the norm to offer festival-goers so much more than just music. Throughout the event, there are a plethora of workshops covering every topic imaginable from archery to cocktail master-classes and jewellery making to try out. As well as craft workshops, Wilderness has an exclusive sanctuary area offering an array of health and well being treatments and master-classes such as yoga classes, Tai Chi,  beauty treatments and massages to relax and re-energise after a late night enjoying the music. Wilderness also hosts the infamous Lakeside Spa with  a private champagne bar, luxurious wood-fired hot tubs and saunas overlooking a tranquil private swimming lake for a truly immersive experience that allows you to unwind - it's almost like you aren't at a festival! If the theatre is more your thing, you can enjoy live performances as well as screenings of classic films and theatre performances across a number of the stages at the festival. Of course, even with all the extra activities and workshops you can't forget about the music acts! Across the weekend, festival-goers are treated to an eclectic mix of bands, musicians and singers, with Bjork and Ben Howard headlining on the main-stage. A particular favourite of ours was Temple Funk Collective - a brass band performing modern dance hits on The Carousel stage, it was a unique performance not to be missed! If you are a foodie, then Wilderness is the place for you; with everything from 5 course long table banquets by Raymond Blanc to artisan street food stalls selling every type of food imaginable. It was hard not to try everything, but a stand out favourite for us has to be the Massaman curry Buddha Bowls by Wholefood Heaven.

There was all of this and so much more happening at Wilderness across the weekend, it was impossible to see absolutely everything no matter how hard we tried! If you want to see more of what the marketing team got up to during their time at Wilderness Festival you can follow the Country Attire Twitter and Instagram accounts. One thing for certain was that eccentric festival fashion is at the heart of the Wilderness experience, festival-goers push all the boats out with extravagant headpieces, temporary tattoos and wacky outfits to coincide with the Wilderness outfit themes for the day; just people watching is entertainment in itself! Hunter Boots have been synonymous with festival fashion for a number of years and with their very own festival ready collection, no matter the weather you can emulate that coveted festival look.

The Hunter Festival collection features the iconic Original Tall and Short boots in bright colourways and patterns for a stand-out look that will compliment any festival outfit. The Festival Boots also have fashion-forward details including fringing and two tone effects for extra points of difference. Not only does the Hunter Festival collection feature the Original wellington boots, but also Chelsea boots, commando boots and slides for a more edgy style that perfect for sunnier weather.

During our time at Wilderness, it was blazing sunshine for the whole weekend - meaning we could bring the sandals out and not have to worry about getting stuck in the mud! Hunter Slides have a trendy design and are the perfect partner for sunnier festivals at home or abroad when the wellies aren't needed! The Hunter Original Moustache Slides are crafted from a striking pink EVA material that is lightweight, flexible and waterproof that is perfect for easy festival packing.  Large branded logos are a big trend for the summer and the Hunter Original Eva Logo Slides are a stand-out piece from the Hunter Festival collection with the split Hunter logo across the straps for a contemporary style. We got lucky whilst at Wilderness festival, but more often than not the Hunter wellies will be needed at some point to combat the rain and seas of mud! Our favourite styles from the Hunter Festival collection include the Original Slim Zip Wellington Boots, which are available in vibrant sky or raspberry colours with a slim leg style for a sleek, feminine silhouette  that is also highly fashionable.  The iconic Original wellington style has been re-worked with bold colour accents with the Hunter Original Stripe Wellington Boots, which features a bright contrasting stripe down the back of the boots to update the classic style for the festival season. Another eye-catching piece from the Hunter Festival collection has to be the Original Clear Leg Wellington Boot with a statement clear vinyl leg and leather trims for a new take on the signature Original boot that is proving popular amongst fashionistas. For a more classic and versatile design, the Hunter Festival collection also features the Original Tall Wellington Boots in traditional colours that can be worn with almost any festival outfit, making it the ideal staple boot to take with you.
