Barbour Repairs, Re-waxing & Alterations

If you would like to re-wax your garment yourself we recommend you use either Barbour’s own Thornproof Dressing, or Nikwax Wax Cotton Proof (a product developed in conjunction with Barbour).

Barbour offers a comprehensive reproofing, repair and alteration service. With regular maintenance, a Barbour waxed jacket should give you years of wear.

To take advantage of Barbour's reproofing and repair service, you can send it directly to Barbour.

How much will it cost you?

Prices for common alterations and repairs can be seen on the Barbour Repair page by clicking HERE. For any special requests please contact Barbour Customer Services on 0191 4274210 (or via to determine the price of the repair or alteration. Payment should be made at the same time as returning the garment to Barbour. (e.g via Cheque or by providing Credit Card details, Please note all cheques must be in Pound Sterling).

How long will it take?

Barbour will give you an estimated delivery date via the internet once they have received your garment and payment. We recommend that you pay for postal insurance when you return your garment to Barbour. (from your local Post Office).

Please note that the comprehensive repair and reproofing service they offer is for Barbour Waxed Cotton garments only.

For enquiries regarding a Barbour product with a suspected manufacturing fault, purchased from Country Attire we recommend contacting Barbour Customer Services, who will advise on the replacement or repair of the item subject to the terms of the Barbour Guarantee. If you prefer to contact us at Country Attire we will also be able to assist you; but as we return faulty items to Barbour for inspection it is normally quicker to contact them directly. Your statutory rights are not affected.
