Get excited for summer as festival season is approaching! With so many different music festivals on offer in the UK, it can be overwhelming to choose which to attend. Whether you’re in the mood to dance all weekend or have a chilled out time in the festival settings, we've picked out some of the top festivals in the UK to help you decide.
Whether you like drum and bass, techno, rock and roll or pop, there's sure to be a festival this summer that perfectly suits your music taste!

1. Latitude Festival

When: 18th - 21st July 2019 Where: Suffolk, England

Featuring headliners George Ezra, Snow Patrol and Lana Del Rey, Latitude Festival is perfect for all ages to enjoy with a wide offering of activities and musical genres. In addition to plenty of singers, Latitude also hosts a comedy stage with top comedians such as Jason Manford and Michelle Wolf alongside a variety of stand up acts and comedy skits sure to keep you laughing. Need a break? Chill out in the music and film area running must see film screenings and gripping performances. Latitude Festival offers a dedicated family camping area and a Kid and Teen area sure to keep the whole family entertained with range of activities from swimming to creative crafting.

2. TRNSMT Festival

When: 12th - 14th July 2019 Where: Glasgow, Scotland

Held up north in Glasglow, the TRNSMT Festival features plenty of musical acts for you to enjoy including Catfish and the Bottlemen, Gerry Cinnamon, The Wombats, Stormzy and Years & Years to name a few. The Festival is held over a short three day period and does doesn't offer camping so you can be sure to stay fresh for each day.

3. Boomtown Fair

When: 7th - 12th August 2019 Where: Winchester, England

The annual four-day festival Boomtown Fair is the perfect place to enjoy music and plenty activities with featured artists such as Lauryn Hill, Groove Armada, Carl Cox and Chase and Status. Boomtown is sure to have something for everyone including families with a ‘Kidztown’ including a Krafty Kidz Tent, a Circus and Kidztown Theatre sure to keep the younger ones entertained. Each year Boomtown is referred to as a Chapter that continues on from the previous year's storyline. The festival site is split into districts with designs of that reflect the storyline of the chapter. Hundreds of actors play the role of inhabitants to make sure you have the ultimate experience. This year is ‘Chapter 11 – Radical City.’

4. Reading / Leeds Festival

When: 23rd - 25th August 2019 Where: Reading, England / Leeds, England

Taking place simultaneously in Reading and Leeds, this festival hosts some of the most current and popular music acts. This year’s headliners include the Foo Fighters, The 1975, Post Malone, Dave and plenty more to suit all music tastes. Camping is available for the whole weekend at both sites so you can be sure to immerse yourself in the complete festival experience.

5. Creamfields

When: 22nd - 25th August 2019 Where: Daresbury, England

First held in 1998, Creamfields is a dance festival hosting some of the biggest artists in the genre. This year’s line-up features the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim and many more to take the stage. Make sure to be there as this year Creamfields will host Swedish House Mafia as their Sunday headliner, which is the trio's only UK show for the year of 2019. With the option to camp at the festival's 'Dreamfields', you can be sure to stay immersed in the electronic scene all day and night.
